Install Windows Mobile Sync Software

Pocket Device Setup

  1. Microsoft Active Sync

If you are using a Windows Mobile pocket device, then this program will need to be installed.  ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center are used by Windows Mobile powered devices to transfer information, settings, and files. Synchronization is handled with different applications for Windows Vista and Windows XP or earlier, so please check which operating system your PC is running and choose the appropriate option listed below.

  1. CareTracker Mobile

CareTracker Mobile is the application that will need to be installed on the mobile device.  Once the CareTracker Mobile Feature Pack has been installed (from the Updates tab located on the Administration tab, under the link to View or Install Modules or Kits), the mobile application will be available to install on the device.

Browse to the CareTracker URL using Internet Explorer on the pocket device, i.e. http://caretracker/kiosk.  If not previously done, install the required framework using the setup button displayed.  Then install the CareTracker Mobile software using the provided installation button.  Once installed, the CareTracker Mobile software will need to be updated on the device to be directed to the correct URL, if the default address, http://caretracker/kiosk is not the URL used by the facility.  The setup for this URL can be accessed by clicking Settings from the CareTracker mobile application main screen.
